Can someone tell me on how companies like Microsoft can support the massive amount of bandwidth needed to serve their websites and cloud platforms. Does the ISP give them a special line? The highest I ever heard of for personal use was a T-3 connection. But as far as running a home server I am trying to understand what the limitations are for sending and receiving internet traffic. I understand this probably varies from provider to provider, but is getting higher limitations simply a matter of paying more money?
